as much as I think some factions need new forts or just any fort, I don't think a fan-made set is appropriate for forts...since the set is smaller than normal anyway, adding forts might add another head-ache that we don't need...although, we might need more people to input on that...the game can't be played without ships...it can be played without forts or even crew for that matter.

considering most of us have ships, i'm sure 1 or 2 forts wouldn't hurt, maybe later if this ever gets off the ground (i've never tried a crewles game, but i have played with restrictions on crew, no SAC, no super power combos like the San Cristobal, and nothing incredibly rediculous that doesn't seem like pirates any more, etc.

Okay, so in the design forum, I thought of this:
"Pirates of the Cursed Seas: Lineage and Legend"
The set would be much like the original PotSM, meaning that there would be a historical setting, with historical characters and ships, but there would also be fictional characters and ships, and a small hint of supernatural.
The Lineage refers to perhaps relatives of famous characters in the game, Legend can refer to ghosts, or even famous characters.
The color of the cards should be a tan color, I think. This would be a sort of nostalgia driven set, I think.
Again, this is just what I'm proposing.

the idea sounds good, why not have myths thrown in there too (not in the title, but in the game)

Yeah, the Legend is kind of a double meaning. Meaning legendary figures in history, and "legend", like sea monsters and ghosts.

so what amount of sea monsters and ghosts will be included

I was figuring on more ghosts than sea monsters. You know, like Ghost Crew, or some Pirate or American ship being a Ghost Ship, or some Unique Treasure that scared the living heck out of the ship, or some event that terrorized all crew within a certain range, a lot like Cursed Zone.

we just have to have the bermuda triangle in there

I'd make the Bermuda Triangle have something to do with the map. Kinda like an extra large reef... Maybe have it sometimes negate abilities of crew and ships that are within the Triangle. Perhaps a terrain feature that has to be used in triplicate or more? Oh and we MUST have more forts. they're great! too bad they're so few.....

well maybe it could be a combination of terrain, orike the event cursed zone but made into a terrain

well maybe it could be a combination of terrain, orike the event cursed zone but made into a terrain I like the idea of an event or cursed relic that can create a Triangle! But it'd need something to mak it's bounds. Hmm... Here's a neat idea! Put all three peices on one card! This would require the island on the other side to be a small atoll instead of a single landmass but that's no big deal.
