I can see who has voted, and I have sent a email (polite, mind you! ) to all non-voters. I will be drafting a announcement soon, of must-read threads and polls.

For something this unique I would be willing to pay 80+. It would really be a letdown if we had to resort to stickers imo ...

Voted $50 and thanks for the email. Haven't been paying much attention to the threads. I think most people will vote for 50-60 $ (I'm excited about the announcement of "must-read threads and polls" ;D)

Hi, I've not seen Savage Shores, (or Frozen North or China Seas). I'm not familiar with the set or what it includes. How many ships are there in a SS set ? Mostly, I pick up Pirates as booster packs or value packs when I can find them. I love opening the packs and making the little ship models. The element of surprise and finding ships I don't already have is a large part of the attraction for me. I would buy packs from a new set if I could. I don't need to collect the full set, but I can always find room for just a few more... Nic

Welcome Swiftnic! Savage shores had 52 "items" total. There was: 52 cards 24 "random" pulled ships, 6 Special Edition ships (one per pack) and two ten mast junks aviable once you got the all Speical Edition ships (So, 32 ships total) 12 Named crew 7 generic crew (6 Navigators for everyone, a Cargo Master for America) So, me thinks there will be 6 ships to a nation in this set, with 4 crew per nation, with some leftovers to fight over. So, smaller than the usual sets ( OE, DJC, FN, SCS etc. ) Please note this is all theoratical.

It'll help us whittle down all the brainstorming we have here.

Thanks for the info.
Are SS just sold as 'Mega Packs' ? i.e 4 random regular sized ships plus a double size Mega card special ship, + crew/treasure.

Nic No. There were no boosters and were notable for only being sold in the United States (for some extremely odd reason, like the Raptor Maw was highly available in Europe, but not in the US), and even in the US they weren't sold in any other form but this "Scavenger Pack", which held 6 Savage Shore ships, 1 Pre-Assembled Bonus Ship, 1/3 of a ten-masted ship corresponding with the ship, plus a booster of Rise of the Fiends and Fire and Steel. Of course they're treasure and crew and such. (My apology if it's one huge run-on and it sounds like I'm talking down on him/her). Also, perhaps another reason why you can not find SCS is because they were scarcer than most other sets, so even if you could find them, they'll most likely charge through the nose unless they don't know it's worth.

Chasseur, No apology necessary and no offence taken. Until they started appearing in pound shops and remaindered book stores recently, all of the Pirates sets were scarce here. I have one independent game store locally. They had the early sets, but "they weren't popular". I never met anyone else playing or collecting them. The odd packs I did pick up were rather a treat for me. At £3-4 each I didn't get many. I've rather binged on Pirates lately, getting as many as I can. Apart from DJC these are mainly the later sets POC, ROF and F&S. I just bought the last booster pack of DJC in the shop... I got Fiddlers Green and Calim ;D Nic
