Woah, that is cool! Thanks for sharing!
From the look of the dimensions, those ships are pretty huge.

definately look cool...not sure about the actual quality of material, but still look great...size-wise most are too big...some of the smaller ones under 5" long might work...but since there are so few masts involved, they wouldn't really be easy to add to the game...still look good though...

AFAIK these are designed for 1/300 scale to fit with 6mm wargame figures. As they are down-loadable pdf's, you could print them to whichever scale or size suits best. My intention was to show an option for small scale card model ships.
None of these ships carried cannon (some have light catapults) and most would dismount their masts before combat. Victory at sea was decided by maneuverer, ramming and boarding rather than gunfire. You could use separate crew pieces as sailors, marines, oarsmen or artillery and move or remove them rather than shooting masts off...

That's sure pretty impressive... We are unfortunately working on smaller scale Even though, it would be great to see Battle of Trafalgar in this system...

I suspect that Pirates might be rather too abstract for refighting the really big naval battles. However, it might be a fair enough system for some of the Great Lakes campaigns or the privateering and blockade running actions from the war of 1812. Nic
