yes...but maybe not such big names as Blackheart, Titan, or Connie...more like ships/crew that need to be upgraded...like HMS Antelope, Carolina, Charlamange, Luys de Alva...you know...ships/crew that never get played because they have such limited usefulness...I can see sneaking a few bigger names in though, like Hawkins...he's always fun and could have more versions than any other crew (still waiting for the Jack that "Harbingers").
...this is suppose to be a stand-by option that if we can't do anything else, we can just upgrade existing ships...of course ideally I'd love to see new actual printed styrene game pieces, but until then maybe we just release some new stats/abilities for existing ships/crew that are fairly "useless" right now and see where that takes us...maybe later on we can do a set that's actually punched stryene...this is more a way of tiding people over until we can get something that is closer to a real set out there...am I being clear?
crew would probably be easiest...just do something like the BC prize crew, printed on cardboard type material with instructions on the bottom to use the chit from another existing card...(does anyone actually do that anymore? I've never punched a large portion of my crew because we just put all the crew underneath the deckplate for the ship they're on board and reveal them as needed by sliding the cards out so the crew's chit is showing). either way, plus there's already a bunch of existing artwork for crew...I've actually modified Gentil de la Barbinais before with El Fantasma's eyes and made them yellow to make a demonic version of Arathiel...it was eerie...yet fun!
one more thing...miniaturetrading is holding a ship design contest...go check it out...I suppose if we asked nicely they might let us use some of the entries to make new ships when need be.
