so how much of each faction were you expecting to slot into here, and secondly i think that crew should be around 4-5 points, remember sea creatures shouldn't be repairing in the first place so this is a wonderful aility to have

At least one ship and crew per faction. Preferrably more, but it's entirely dependant on whether we can think up decent stuff for the Corsairs and Jade guys.
Hunh... when I posted Eyfura in the other thread people said it was too expensive... I could go with 4 I suppose.

How does Eyfura expand the Vikings in any way? I checked the Mt database and it looks like they have no Sea Monsters.
Where did this come from? Did we do a poll on it?
I think you meant to cheap.
As the wording stands, the Sea creature doesn't need to do anything, and is automaticaly repaired and can therefore do its own action. All thats a very crucial thing to make for Sea Monsters since they need a major power boost right now, it should come as more than two points...

Exactly! they need them. although Eyfura's ability doesn't actually give them any....No. This is a reply to a post above. In other words what I would like to see.*double checks* Hmm... You're right, I was thinking of Arngrim. Admiral did suggest raising it to 4. To be honest, I don't disagree. Especially since you could simply leave her on your home island and use her to repair any sea creature within S of your HI.

some people do play with mixed-nationality fleets, so its not necessarily a bad thing

Eyfura - 2 - Viking Once during your turn, you may repair one mast of a Sea Creature within S of the ship or island that this crew is on. Flavor text: Eyfura was once a Scandinavian Princess who loved to tend to animals. Now she has found her own ways of taking care of her husband's ever growing collection of terrible beasts of the sea. Eyfura does two things, expand on an existing faction, and expand on an IMO neglected game element. No matter what else you do with this ability, you have to get rid of the "or island" part in the text. Otherwise, any time you're using sea creatures (regardless of nationality) you could just leave her sitting permanently on your home island and there would be absolutely nothing your opponent could do to shut her down, short of wasting a Duel event. The only reason it works for Marines to use their abilities on islands is because they can still be attacked. Since it doesn't say "as a free action", it also has to be assumed that it is not a free action, which brings up the question of who takes the action - the ship she's on, or the sea creature itself? It doesn't matter much either way - the ship can give up its action or it could allow the sea creature to be given a repair action, but you do need to specify one way or the other. A point cost of 3 or 4 would be reasonable with either of those two options. If it is meant to be a free action, the cost needs to go up to at least 5. Being able to send an Eternal sea creature back into the action in half the normal time would be worth that cost, or you could always let her sit on a gunship that's working right alongside your sea creatures. You should also change her nationality to one that already has at least 2 or 3 existing sea creatures. "As-is" she does absolutely nothing to help the Viking nationality, and even if you also gave them a creature or two her impact on the Vikings in general would still be very limited. This crew is much better suited for use in a multi-nation fleet or at the very least a Pirate or Cursed fleet pulling her in via Tabitha, Anamaria, or Crimson Angel. While she might see a lot of action, the rest of the Vikings certainly wouldn't. If you want to expand and improve upon the Vikings, you'd be much better off giving them abilities that they actually need, like a cheap SAT crew, a 0LR+5, or even a named Navigator (like the Master Scribe).

Hmm... I need to compare it to the way marine is worded. But yeah it is more of a free action sort of thing. The island thing was meant to be her getting left at risk. I'm not sure how to word the getting shot at thing. so 5? I can do that I guess. I could give the ability to a crew of a different faction. Eyfura herself wouldn't make sense as a member of another faction. I'm actually planning on doing stuff like that. 0LR+5 would be perfect for Eyfura's father.
