I recall I had several books covering marine warfare and naval warfare during the height of AOS, but I only brought one with me to my vacation (again to my Grandparents) which was Titled "Battle" by R.G. Grant in 2005. Covered a summary of the major and semi-major battles in world wide wars from around 3000 B.C. to 2000 A.D. I had more, but I'll have to investigate when I get back home.

I have a large book called "Battle at Sea", 3,000 years of naval warfare... I learned a great deal about the Swedish, Russian, and Danish fleets... although some parts of the book are lacking (WWI).

A great book I have is "Stephen Biesty's Cross Sections: Man-Of-War." It really brings you into what life was like on a sailing warship.

Seen that book many-a-time, and thanks to all who suggested the books. Whenever we need to rely upon getting piles of information, I am confident we'll have an Arsenal of books to fall back to.

I have a book that has a lot of great artwork and a few details on the different nations and battles called "Fighting Ships: 1750-1850" by Sam Willis.
